Professional Organizations and Networking

Joining Professional Organizations can provide opportunities for mentoring, professional development, networking, and other resources. Networking, or forming connections with other industry professionals, is essential for professional success. As an MSABT student, you may receive guidance related to professional organizations, networking tips, and attending conferences.

Gaining Experience

Begin with the end in mind. It is never too early to consider creative ways to build your professional portfolio and gain experience in the Applied Biotechnology field. There are many opportunities to participate in throughout your academic journey to immediately apply newly gained knowledge, strengthen existing transferrable skills, and develop new areas of proficiency. During your time in the program, you will participate in a capstone experience, which includes an option for an internship.

Preparing for Graduation & Commencement Information

As you finish up your courses in the MSABT program, the student services team will be happy to assist in connecting you with appropriate campus resources for graduation.

Applying for a Position

Once you have identified positions of interest, it is time to start the application process. As an MSABT student, you will have access to tips for increasing your likelihood of landing your dream job. Some of the resources include information on writing a cover letter, tailoring your resume, and interview etiquette.
